BRizz 2 Rise of the Jurassic is a Japanese or Chinese-style foreign film about dinosaurs, but it quickly becomes clear the production didn’t have the budget for the kind of movie they were trying to make. For something released in more recent years, it should have been produced far better. The direction feels all over the place, as if the filmmaker wasn’t sure what they wanted to do in the first place. The acting is so bad and atrocious that it’s hard to even focus on the story. The CGI effects — whether characters are jumping from a plane, diving into water, or anything else — look painfully fake. It’s the kind of visual work that makes you wonder if there was any budget at all, and why anyone would attempt a movie like this without the means to pull it off. The script doesn’t help matters. It’s poorly written, lacking any real quality or coherence, and it makes the film a chore to sit through. The dinosaurs themselves are the biggest disappointment — when they appear on screen, they’re so laughable it’s hard to take anything seriously. Overall, this was a disaster from start to finish.
