Synopsis
In the wake of the death of their bass player, Allen Woody, the band Gov't Mule records a double tribute album, recruiting various bass players to sit in on the sessions. Phish bassist Mike Gordon documents the proceedings and along the way interviews the various contributors. A host of greats share stories about their relationship with, and love of, the bass guitar, among them Les Claypool, Bootsy Collins, Jack Bruce, Chris Squire, John Entwisle and Flea.
