A young woman wakes, trapped, kidnapped in an elevator of a super high rise building at the mercy of her tormentors. This stylistic thriller, set in Shanghai, explores a young woman's instinct to survive in a situation out of her control. Trapped, without any form of escape, and cocooned in the belly of the beast, Aria is forced to adapt her thinking, her beliefs and her endurance. This is the first of the journeys that assault her mind and her senses, pinning her down in anguish only to emerge connected to abilities that define who she truly is.

Rising Wolf gets so caught up in the idea of a supposed potential franchise that it forgets to make you care about the film you're currently watching. Go to Full Review

A confusing and derivative Aussie combo of hostage thriller and sci-fi fantasy. Go to Full Review

It makes for a solid sci-fi thriller but is much more complicated than a movie about a woman stuck inside a yo-yo elevator needs to be. Go to Full Review

Charlotte Best does a fantastic job and there are some impressive effects. The premise is an interesting one, but the lack of cohesive story is hurts the overall impact. Go to Full Review

Overheated performances and an absurd premise are among the many reasons to give this elevator death-trap thriller (yes really) a pass. Go to Full Review

"Rising Wolf" has one thing in its favor: it's a killer elevator movie. Okay, so not the good kind of killer elevator movie. Go to Full Review

M B 09/17/2024 I go to the movies often this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The only movie I have seen where it was so bad I felt ripped off and wanted a refund. The director should retire and never ever make another movie. See more Lisa H 08/02/2024 Horrible writing, blocking, overacting. Awful, really awful. See more Jason B 07/30/2024 Until I seen the ending I could not understand why the the majority of the movie played out (filmed) the way it did & kinda drug out exp for a 1:40min movie. After about 25 min into the movie there was a pretty obvious twist being set up, that play out way too late. The premiss was good, filming & FX were good as well considering the outline they were dealing with. The story itself was to drawn out bc they were winding up for at least 1 more movie. The character arc is something akin to Divergant, but not as kool & the story kinda gives SW Acolyte vibes, as far as the main character goes. So overall idt they are going to make a sequel & the ending kinda leaves off where the movie really should get going. So I am divided on wether to recommend watching it bc its more then likely a dead end. See more KANGABOY Streetwear 03/09/2024 Tried real hard and fails just as hard. A silly waste of time. See more Sam G 02/01/2024 Relatively boring, and the main "twist" was easy to see from a mile away. End result was essentially a deus ex machina. See more 09/19/2023 One of the worst movies I have ever seen, and I’ve seen bad movies. Unlike other bad movies that just disinterest or confuse you to sleep, this one FRUSTRATES AND ANNOYS! It is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! See more Read all reviews
