Rated: 1.5/4 Nov 13, 2004 Full Review Philip Martin Arkansas Democrat-Gazette None of this is to argue that this is a great - or even very good - film but it is enjoyable on any number of levels. I'm just happy to have confirmation that I didn't just dream the whole thing. Melissa M . I think this is one of the most underrated movies of the '80s. I believe it could even be considered a musical. Travis is the MacGyver of roadies. I would love to go on the road with rock and roll redfish. That would be a trip worth taking. In the movie Travis w redfish is chair dancing with his friend bb. while they're driving down the road. They see a broken down van. And stop to help them only to find out that the girl on the van is a groupie on her way to New York city to meet Alice Cooper. Then the real shenanigans begin. This movie has all different kinds of music. From Rock to country. From alternative to new wave. The cast is beyond awesome. Alice Cooper, Blondie, Roy orbison, meatloaf, art Carney, asleep with the wheel. All appear in the film. It what other movie could you see a duet between Roy Orbison and Hank Williams jr? Kurtwood Smith even has a small part in the film. The script is pretty unique. It's one of the best off the Wall comedies of the '80s. Once again this film was made. back in the day when Hollywood had something that resembled an imagination. It's one of those movies where the soundtrack is just as good as the movie.
