Audience Member It's more polished than what I've seen from SyFy's Maneater series but it's still a barebones b-horror with awful special effects and an over serious tone. The Roc from Greek mythology, or even Dungeons and Dragons, was large enough to destroy a huge boat. The Roc in Roadkill is a little bigger than the RV that it terrorizes. It also looks like a skinless condor. Couple that with the fact that the animation is almost as good as Ray Harryhausenâ??s workâ?¦in the early 1960â??sâ?¦and you have a barely workable story that then sucker punches you in the face with laughable special effects. It's pretty much a long chase scene with minor drama and uninteresting titbits. It gets fairly dull and the creature isn't around much, not to mention a long drawn out ending that goes no where. It wasn't great either, but there's a touch of suspense here and there, a few bouncing boobies, and we even have a couple half eaten faces. Three cheers for half eaten faces!
