ashley h Roar of the Dragon is a decent film. It is about a boatload of Westerners who are trapped in Manchuria as bandits led by Russian renegade Voronsky ravage the area. Richard Dix and Gwili Andre give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Wesley Ruggles did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the adventure and romance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Exciting, fast-paced pre-Code action film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Surreal pre-code romantic adventure. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member another good pre-code adventure yarn Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Entertaining old-fashioned pulp adventure. The action is livelier than you'd expect from a film of this era, and it has a fast-paced plot and colorful cast - Richard Dix is fun as the boozy but gallant hero, and Gwili Andre is beautiful and mysterious. Not quite memorable enough to be a classic, but solid entertainment for classic movie fans. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
