Despite an interesting cast that includes skilled actors as diverse as Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx and Eve Hewson, Otto Bathurst succeeds is muddling the tale of Robin Hood beyond any of his predecessors, quite a distinction. With tongue very much NOT in cheek, we proceed with a story that not only makes no sense, but one which is entirely ungrounded. We do ourselves and society a disservice by even watching it. Parents: Is this really how you want your children to understand the Robin Hood myth?

It's so bad it hurts. Could be I'm not a fan of that weird mixture of old and new, so maybe it's good, in some alt reality. Couldn't get past of the "draft"(??) to the crusades, no, just can't. Waste of time

Had the potential to be an enjoyable movie, but it’s a weird mix of costuming and the modern ancient blend just makes it impossible to suspend belief. Is it Batman or is is Zorro? Because it’s not Robin Hood. Pick a theme for crying out loud.

I'm also unsure why this movie has gotten such bad ratings. Perhaps they just don't like Robin Hood, all the remakes (5 by my count) have gotten poor reviews (as an average) on RT. Its a passable action flick; the story and actors also make this quite passable, decent entertainment. Yes, it's not going to win any awards, but it's a pleasant two hours watching this. The one real downside is the period costumes are laughable, as the overall quality is WAY too high, not something that would have been commonly seen then.
