Oliver P @Ollie894 Jan 8 Really underrated movie. I know that the internet says its bad and some reviews give it a 3 star or below. But this movie surprised me by its emotion in the late scenes (read further if you want spoilers).In the scene where Bodi says to his bandmates (Dharma) and (Germur). That he has to "play the game" (Which means be famous and do what the Big Music Guys want him to do. Which is to be marketable so it makes the big corporation money). But even though this movie is cringe like the saying "true blue forever" in parts of the movie and its crappy in some parts storyline. It still gives good catchy songs like (Glorious from the first movie and Horizon). so the songs are still catchy and it still gives pathos. And it also shows some kind of logos like bodies blue and black guitar which emphasizes his band name "True Blue". Anyway this movie is good if you focus on the emotion and not the storyline. See more Kervin G 09/12/2023 After watching the first movie of Rock Dog I decided to try the second movie of Rock Dog 2 Rock Around The Park. Unlike the previous movie. Rock Dog. Rock Dog 2 Rock Around The Park has almost improved a bit. I like how they improved the graphics in the movie. His father Khanpa fell off the character at the start. The detail in the environment looked pretty good, especially the city. Has a bit of original music in the movie and it stays great like the previous song called "Glorious" The new characters like Lil' Foxy was pretty nice and had good improvements to Bodi's friends that are Darma and Germur being part of the band. Somehow the movie has a bit more plot holes to be punctured. The two examples of that are the avalanche scene and the main villain of the story. Plus I expect those good-looking red pandas who look like they are from a 2000s sitcom Wei and Shamai would have been more useful in the movie but this movie just treated it more like a tag-along rather than actual characters that are part of the movie. The movie turned from good to great because of the music. Hopefully, the third movie needs to improve its writing, character usefulness, and not another cliche villain. See more Read all reviews
