Harpreet Singh Bedi has just graduated, and his marks are a little embarrassing, but marks never stopped him from dreaming of an exciting and adventurous career, and they never will. It is the sometimes thoughtless, sometimes thoughtful story of a fresh graduate trying to find a balance between the maddening demands of the professional way, and the way of his heart.

Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Yashraj Films turns over a desperately-needed leaf with Rocket Singh, a film with both art and heart. Rated: 3/5 Apr 17, 2019 Full Review Rachel Saltz New York Times Ranbir Kapoor turns in a skillfully understated performance in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year. Rated: 3.5/5 Dec 15, 2009 Full Review Nikhat Kazmi The Times of India Rocket Singh, scripted brilliantly by Jaideep Sahni, documents the new India we are currently seeing emerging before our eyes. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 28, 2020 Full Review Poulomi Das Arré Long before Hindi cinema made a template out of the middle-class, Rocket Singh... offered a distinctive snapshot of the challenges of middle-class employment Dec 12, 2019 Full Review Itrath Syed Georgia Straight This film -- part Mad Men and part Jerry Maguire -- is an underdog story about grit, perseverance, and ethics. Some sections in the first half of the film seem to drag, but once the story kicks off, you'll be sold on it. Jul 1, 2016 Full Review Maitland McDonagh Miss FlickChick A surprisingly sharp workplace comedy whose concerns should resonate with oppressed worker-bees everywhere. Faiz D This has to be one of the most under-rated movies. Ranbir once again after 'Wake up Sid' gave a brilliant performance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/29/24 Full Review Audience Member Very relatable and believable plot and shows that the world is filled with ungrateful cons and once in a while you need to get even with people to get ahead else you will just be left behind. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Great great great great great great great great great great Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Not a commercial movie. For people who want good, talented work from the Bollywood industry, this is one movie you don't wanna miss. Way underrated as far as direction goes. Neat, balanced performances by all of the main actors. Shimit seems obsessed with details which actually adds to the fun, if you look closely. Also, screenplay and color coordination in the frame is something he seems to be particularly interested in choreographing with his direction. The story is a good one but if you want some new fiction, the kind that hasn't been explored before, this is ordinary for the most part, but keeps the Bollywood style intact without getting into crappy shots or item numbers. Couple of Burman scores here and there. No glossy, commercialized styling. Pure, neat performances by all those who were involved. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This film was fantastic, and I'm not sure why it wasn't more popular. It wasn't just funny and well acted, it was actually inspiring. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member There something about this refreshingly simple film, that touches you to the core. And it has a priceless message too, as a bonus! ;-) Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews
