Me A This was my absolute favorite rendition of cinderella! I loved it as a young teen when it first came out.. it actually made me pay attention to the storyline lol. As an extra extra adult, I have to go back every few months and we watch it.. just so refreshing and made me feel like I could be a desirable princess when I was a young girl... Think it's a very important rendition :-) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/02/24 Full Review SkyRo P The 1997 adaptation of "Cinderella" is a remarkable and unique take on the beloved fairy tale that surprised and delighted viewers. This made-for-TV musical adaptation effortlessly modernizes the story while retaining the timeless charm of the original. Brandy's portrayal of Cinderella is both spirited and endearing, and her enchanting chemistry with Paolo Montalban's Prince Charming adds depth to the romance. Whitney Houston shines as the Fairy Godmother, not only showcasing her vocal prowess but also her regal presence. The film's diverse cast and colorblind casting are notable and heartwarming, promoting a message of unity and acceptance. While the production may show its age in terms of special effects, the enchanting musical numbers, including "Impossible" and "Ten Minutes Ago," remain showstoppers.
