Holly S melhor cinderela ever Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/26/23 Full Review DOMONIQUE S I DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT MOVIE ANYMORE. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/11/23 Full Review Alec B Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella is a delightful and inclusive reimagining of the classic fairy tale, brought to life by a stellar cast led by Brandy and Whitney Houston. This made-for-TV musical adaptation effortlessly modernizes the story while retaining the timeless charm of the original. Brandy's portrayal of Cinderella is both spirited and endearing, and her enchanting chemistry with Paolo Montalban's Prince Charming adds depth to the romance. Whitney Houston shines as the Fairy Godmother, not only showcasing her vocal prowess but also her regal presence. The film's diverse cast and colorblind casting are notable and heartwarming, promoting a message of unity and acceptance. While the production may show its age in terms of special effects, the enchanting musical numbers, including "Impossible" and "Ten Minutes Ago," remain showstoppers. Cinderella is a heartwarming and visually splendid musical that delivers a fresh take on a beloved classic, reminding us of the enduring power of dreams and kindness. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Xivono C I flippin' LOVE this movie. It is just absolute perfection. The imperfections (the sets, the acting etc) are what make it so perfect. More people need to be speaking about this absolute masterpiece. I mean the star-studded cast miss Bernadette Peters, Whoopi Goldberg, Whitney Houston, Brandyyyyyy. Too good. I am obsessed. Ron Miller San Jose Mercury News There's no question, however, about who owns this show: Brandy is magnificently sweet and ethereal, proving she can step away from her contempo hustle and the "Moesha" image, giving a bravura performance as a wistful girl living off dreams. Feb 27, 2020 Full Review Ray Richmond Variety As Cinderella, the surprisingly self-assured Brandy is an island of subtlety in a sea of broad. A magical sort of charisma enfolds her, and her voice is more than up to the task. Feb 27, 2020 Full Review Caryn James New York Times Often charming and sometimes ordinary, this is a cobbled-together ''Cinderella'' for the moment, not the ages. Feb 27, 2020 Full Review Monique Jones Common Sense Media Musical take on classic fairy tale is an inclusion landmark. Rated: 4/5 Aug 29, 2022 Full Review Martha Tesema Mashable With a hefty lineup of live-action remakes coming soon, perhaps it's wise to pay close attention to the magic that still lingers from this 1997 masterpiece. Feb 27, 2020 Full Review Terry Kelleher People Magazine Wishes do come true, insists this new production of the timeless fairy tale. Okay, we wish Brandy could sing like Whitney Houston.
