John DeFore Hollywood Reporter An option of last resort for sci-fi-hounds who simply will watch anything with a spaceship or talking robot in it. Jun 6, 2017 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times Falling just short of being so bad it's good, "Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter" is a shameless low-budget "Terminator"/"Star Wars"/"Mad Max" knock-off that will have to settle for being merely godawful. Audience Member Such a fun sci fi adventure made by a crew and cast who clearly love what they do and love sci fi movies. Great cast, fun FX, and wonderful use of practical FX too I might add! More films like this please! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member What a pile of crap, this movie should get a golden glove for bad acting, ridiculous tactical/technical scenes, and... just plain waste of time. I can't believe movies like these are even produced. An insult to anyone's intelligence. Shame on Netflix for even showing this movie in their repertoire . Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Stupid effects. I could do better and I'm 13 yrs. old. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member CONS: Some of the robot voices are hard to understand. A lot of lens flares. Have to watch a few times to figure out the plot as it's really fond of twists and turns even though it seems straightforward at first. PROS: Finally we have a male character who is the eye candy! I think that maybe some of the annoyed reviews is because SkullCrusher is essentially taking place of the traditional girly sidekick who is there to look pretty. He can act, but his arms are very distracting. ;) The story is interesting, a few moments that caught me off guard. A female action star that is actually kicking ass and gets utterly filthy and sweaty and looks like running in those boots is a giant pain but doable. I'm very tired of watching girls bounce in dental floss and appreciate they didn't constantly refresh her makeup to look dewy instead of tired and gritty. Essentially all women out there, watch this. There's only a few women in this film but they all have an interesting roll -would have liked to see more of Xarxis(?)- and I took it as a tongue in cheek poke at classic storytelling. If you'd made Sienna a male character I bet a lot of these reviews would have been nicer. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Why did this have to end?! Brings me back to the day of classic sci-fi. One of my new faves. Best Neil Johnson flick ever and best performance of Tracey's life - that I've seen! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Better than expected. A notch above Asylum-type sci-fi with a few new ideas. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
