David K Interestingly, Kris Kristofferson was not the worst thing about this movie. It should have been better. Pakula loses all the things that made his paranoid trilogy so great. Mood, score, energy... Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/28/23 Full Review jon c The most erotic thing in the world is the money made from doing deadly business Jane Fonda and Kris Kristofferson A financial troubleshooter Hubbell Smith meets ex-movie star Texas oiler Lee Winters The price of oil is skyrocketing in Saudi Arabia so Lee is looking to settle negotiations overseas but it almost seems impossible Hubbell is investigating the liquidity of his new bank; the both of them get caught up in a global economic conspiracy when Lee's petrochemical chairman husband is murdered As they both dig for answers they start to fall in love but their motives might pull them apart There's a lot of business talk, money jargon, and international politics going on This is more for the seasoned crowd I didn't find it that thrilling either Mediocre at best Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member compelling story, uneven performances Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member good suspenser good chem betwixt Kristofferson & fonda Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member in light of recent events in the stock markets this is an interesting film. though it focuses of 70s anxieties the points are still relevant today. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is a cross-over love story and eceonomic thriller. For those interesed on the love story angle, don't bother. For those intersted in seeing how quickly a global economy can be turned over by one small group of people - this one is a thrill! The movie feels very "real", especially in present times - though the movie was made in 1984. With a dramatic twist, the film allows a realistic peel behind the scenes of the banksters life. For those interested in money and and how quickly our workd could go down in flames, I highly recommend this one! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Janet Maslin New York Times The dramatic possibilities of the material are weak at best, and its satirical underpinnings are nowhere to be found. Pakula's Rollover is a moody, evocative, wispy thriller that makes some intriguing moves before dissolving like a wet tissue in irresolution.
