06/21/2014 another cheezy italian sword n sandal flick See more 02/21/2013 Low budget costume drama. Not quite an epic that all the well known ancient and biblical dramas of this time were, but it stands up well for 'b' movie status. The acting isn't great but perhaps its greatest draw nowadays is the fact Roger Moore takes the lead and does have presence despite not really delivering any lines too differently to that of any other film in his career. See more 09/27/2011 The real Name of this movie is Romulus and the Sabines. Its from the Mill Creek 50 Movie Warriors Collection. Its a sword and Sandal move that's for sure, and one of the better ones I have seen not only from this collection but it ranks high among other sword and sandal movies that kept people entertained in the sixties. The reason this one is better then most it actually had a point to the movie. That being that Rome was occupied by only men at one time and the King of Rome Romulus in order to please his men must find them women so Rome can survive. Everyone must start somewhere and whets amazing is that Roger 007 Bond Moore Got his start her. He played Romulus. The movie was comical at parts like in the opening when the first battle ensued and one of the warriors realized after slashing the shirt of who he was fighting and her Breast fell out that he was fighting a women, like looking at her and her long hair wasn't a give away. 3 1/2 stars, Enjoy.
