Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald Rappeneau has been writing scripts for 15 years. This is his first time as director and he handles it with care and a light touch. Rated: 4/5 Dec 28, 2016 Full Review David Stratton The Australian Khojandi is a convincingly hangdog hero, while Asaaz is a delightfully daffy Aude whose laziness and eccentric lifestyle become quite endearing. Rosalie is more of an enigma, but that's as it should be. Rated: 4/5 Dec 23, 2016 Full Review Boyd van Hoeij Hollywood Reporter A quirky, cockles-warming adaptation of the eponymous graphic-novel trilogy by French artist Camille Jourdy. Nov 29, 2016 Full Review Carlos Marañón Cinemanía (Spain) ... one of those slice of life stories... [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 1, 2019 Full Review Francesca Rudkin New Zealand Herald Whimsical, tender and original, Rosalie Blum is a fabulous debut. Rated: 4/5 Jun 8, 2017 Full Review Alex Casey Flicks (AU, NZ, UK) It's definitely the kind of old-school screwball comedy that makes you do a weird half smile like a drunk person. Audience Member Little, tender, nice. Constructed in a surprising way, it talks about loneliness and what fills you inside. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I have no idea why this movie is so highly rated. I was waiting for a moment in the movie to transition from the proceeding plodding drudgery. It never happened. Very disappointed.
