Ray H It is atypical movie to watch in background. Easy going with no hidden agenda from producers. No sex, drug use, profane language, blood guts, gore. Actors / Actresses did their job with what they where given. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Very nice independent movie filmed outside of the usual Hollywood-marketed movies with the same tired, boring, stereotyped actors. The setting has it filmed at Christmas but it's not very Christmassy or really referenced except for a Christmas tree here or Christmas lights there. The geographic setting is awesome! Utah is beautiful and the movie is super snowy - my favorite. That combined with small remote town outdoors and a primary cast of four makes this a perfect movie to watch by your fireplace over the holidays. The actors do a wonderful job and are quite comical at times even though it's based on real life issues. Spoiler alert: Only thing I'd change is the graphic extended display of Lisa's childbirth - especially if you're squeamish like me. It was a bit too much! And also, the scene with the two snowmobilers getting spanked - that would have better for Josephine to simply invite them back for cocoa. That was so silly. Watch this movie if: You love creative independent movies, you don't care for the same tired stereotyped actors who won't go away, love the outdoors, love small town movies with small cast, love new story line and snowy movies, and love Christmas movies Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/12/20 Full Review Audience Member This movie is an emotional gem. Not a huge blockbuster, but warms the heart in many ways. Uplifting, without preaching. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyable and entertaining movie set in the Southern Utah mountains near Brian Head Ski Resort. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Somewhat implausible ending but hey, it's a Christmas movie and happy endings are requisite. The story line is more complex and engaging than the average Christmas fare. This is one I look forward to watching again. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member scary at first, but, nice as the story unfolds into a heart-warming story Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
