Wood is a consummate pro as a stand-up, not afraid of any audience. He even sticks the landing with not only one killer callback, but also an actual call back. Go to Full Review

Anastasia G Aug 15 Awesome! Touching and very funny. See more Birithivy Y Mar 16 Roy Wood Jr.: Lonely Flowers - 8/10. Roy Wood post Daily Show has been slowly gaining the following that he deserves. This special further forays into his comedy styling, whether it be through regular jokes or through a sociopolitical lens. Some funny jokes here and some good bits, but I appreciated the look at how humanity is in general here too. Hope he makes more specials in the near future! See more Rivkah F Feb 7 Profound, bittersweet, and funny as hell. Tell it Roy! See more Will _ Jan 28 Roy Wood Jr. does it again. I was browsing through Disney+ (EUR) on my laptop, looking for something to watch before bed and was delighted to find this standup. It was perfect. Roy pulls you in with insightful thoughts, heartwarming family stories and some unusual anecdotes that all adds up to lots of laughs. The best part of it all (and I am by no means against profane edgy content) is that there is little-to-no foul language. I put the earphones on, dimmed the screen and laid down, just listening and laughing, like the old days with standup comedy audio tapes. You can turn this on in the background during your house cleaning, drawing or something to that effect and you won't be sorry. Another winner from a comedian that highly respect and enjoy. See more Yash B Jan 22 Roy Wood Jr. is really one of the most thoughtful comedians. His stand-up balances life observations, social commentary, and really funny jokes so well. I think "Lonely Flowers" is a good new special from him and is already quite better than a lot of the stand-up comedy I watched last year. The show maybe doesn't quite hit the laugh-out-loud hilarious level of some of his other bits I have seen, but I still think this is a fully engaging comedy show and I really liked a lot of the points he addressed here. Overall, it is a must-watch for his fans and I think is also a solid choice if you're new to his comedy.
