The film has no psychological depth beyond offering up the occasional cliché - one of the shooters was bullied at school, for instance. Go to Full Review

So somebody somewhere one day had a thought: "What if 'Die Hard' except a school shooting?" and not only didn't they immediately check themselves for other symptoms of lead poisoning but thought, "Yep, that's a winner." Go to Full Review

... a fine movie that is completely undercut by its director’s attempt to bring together two tones that, it would seem, simply cannot work. Go to Full Review

Amid its confused pronouncements about vengeance and personal responsibility, the worst thing you can say about it is that eventually it's no longer shocking, just boring. Go to Full Review

Brian Q @ClassicDude 4d I really enjoyed this film. While it may not aim for deep thematic complexity, it succeeds where it matters most: sustaining tension and credibility from start to finish. At no point did I feel pulled out of the story by implausible moments or heavy-handed messaging. What stood out most was its grounded portrayal of strength. The protagonist’s resilience comes from intelligence, determination, and courage rather than exaggerated, physics-defying action tropes. It was refreshing to see a female lead written in a way that respects realism—where survival is earned through strategy and grit, not fantasy-level hand-to-hand dominance over vastly larger opponents. That restraint gives the film a sense of authenticity that many modern thrillers lack. The result is a tense, believable story that trusts the audience and lets the characters speak for themselves, rather than forcing a message at the expense of immersion. See more wilson s @Rednote. 5d Very good movie, could have gone into depth about the dad's background maybe a little? We kind of get the gist of it though. Maybe a little of a background on some of the other stuff, but overall, it was really really good. See more Corey B @ccoorreeyy Jan 3 It's a propaganda film financed by the reactionary organization the Daily Wire. That's not what's bad about it - I'd give it a 3 stars if it was at least a good movie, but my God it was terrible. Absurd decisions, atrocious writing and acting, all meant to prop up the "good guy with a gun" myth. The people who made this movie want more guns in US schools, and they made an awful movie to make that point. Watch Elephant instead. See more N B @NailBeill Dec 30 This movie relies way too heavily on cliches and often fell flat. The characters didn’t bring anything additional to the story and unfortunately also fell into cliches. Instead of exploring something that is truly tragic and telling a story with any type of in depth reflection, this is giving very fake bad guy vs good guy. Feels like the point of the movie was to give action vibes while making the viewer feel like "if I was in this situation they’ll be a hero to save the day."
