I thought the movie was great, but a little bit far-fetched. When she kidnapped Steven, he could have got out of the van and took off running and she would have never got a shot off. I think when she got him to the house and made him start drinking, she should have made it more like the actual hazing of Jimmy. And I guess rotten tomatoes never watched the movie, I did not hear Barbara cussing as she was taking her kids to school. She even told Steven not to say bad words when she had him in the basement.

The performances are okay, and emotion is mildly present early on but not really instilled. From there it is mostly just a cautionary tale that warns young people - don’t rush, but maybe this film should have rushed a little or at least cut 15-20 minutes before slyly sliding into its darker side.
