Harry (Dermot Mulroney) is a high school wrestling coach recovering from the loss of his daughter who was murdered in a brutal attack. When one of his students disappears under conditions eerily similar to his daughter's, Harry takes matters into his own hands to hunt down the men responsible for her kidnapping and will stop at nothing to rescue her from their human trafficking operation.

Mulroney is the key reason to see Ruthless because he plays Harry with grit and a scrappy determination that belies his characters’ polite demeanor.... Ruthless is enjoyable for folks who want a low-rent version of Nobody.

Dermot Mulroney was excellent. Mauricio was also excellent. Catia's mother wasn't very good. Neither of the detectives were that good. But the plot and action were fairly good. Overall, I very much liked it.

15 minutes in, and I just paused it in disbelief.. Came here to see if it was just me. I'm very glad I did, as the confirmation I'm not alone is saving from continuing to cringe for another hour fifteen. I feel sorry for the actors TBH, this shouldn't have made it off the set, let alone out of the editing room. This is arguably the worst, forced everything I've ever seen make it to movie form. Seriously hard to believe it's on Prime's top 10, which is what drew my curiosity to begin with..

This had to be some of the WORST acting in a film with legit actors. I imagine Dermott either needed the money or was convinced his great acting would save this. I just can't imagine how this director watched this final cut and thought, "yeah, this is good". The plot had so many holes in it, it is the proverbial Swiss cheese. Another review summarized if well but claiming this is a very low budget "Nobody". Yes, it s predictable, but that's not the worst part. Watching the co stars practically read their lines off cue cards with the most unrealistic 'emotions' possible. If you're reading this BEFORE you watch the movie... Run... Run far away! 😵‍💫😁 If you're reading this AFTER you watched it, I'm sorry you -like me- wasted 2 hours you'll never get back!
