What to Know

Critics Consensus

Sabotage boasts one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's finer post-political performances, but it's wasted in a movie driven by grueling violence that punishes seemingly without purpose.

Noah Berlatsky The Atlantic In Sabotage, the plot is too circuitous to give you that adrenaline rush of fitting finality, especially with all the collateral damage along the way. Aug 28, 2019 Full Review Mark Kermode Observer (UK) Scenes of people kicking doors down and shooting each other in the head are efficiently handled - it's everything else that's a problem. Rated: 2/5 May 11, 2014 Full Review Geoffrey Macnab Independent (UK) It is worth remembering that John Wayne, an actor almost as inexpressive as he is, did much of his finest work at the tail end of his career. Sadly, post-gubernator Arnie hasn't yet found his equivalents to True Grit or El Dorado. Rated: 2/5 May 9, 2014 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Part murder mystery, part cop actioner, and mishandled with a touch of Western justice, the film never finds even footing and stumbles throughout its messy presentation, which is punctuated by bloody violence and a pervasive macho attitude. Rated: 1/4 Aug 15, 2022 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins No matter how intense the action sequences, it all becomes meaningless when the drama is played out over protagonists unworthy of attention. Rated: 2/10 Dec 4, 2020 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See Nasty, mean, and appallingly violent at times, "Sabotage" is like a bloodier version of the entire Cannon Films catalog. George Z Easily one of the worst action films I have ever seen. It was without a doubt the winner for the worst dialogue. I knew it was gonna be awful after that "I think I broke a nail," line during the first action sequence. It's just really, really bad. It feels like they blew the entire budget paying Arnold and hired a teenage intern to write the script. The action sequences were descent, but everything here has been done far better in countless other action films. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/07/25 Full Review Jeepers C Glad, I watched this. Lots of action and a dark, gritty story line. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/25 Full Review Derek S Critics absolutely baffle me. Ok, so this is going to be a bit of a rant, as well as a review. Since they’ve become the end all be all for movie reviews, I’ve seen maybe a handful of accurate reviews come from rotten tomatoes. Take this movie for example. Though it has a stellar cast, and good director, it is an absolute piece of garbage. Yet, somehow, it has a 21%. I know that doesn’t seem like much, but when compared to other films it is. For instance, a movie that is similar “a man apart” starring Vin Diesel, has 10%. A man apart is ten times better than this movie in every way shape and form. So, to the critics on rotten tomatoes, whoever you are, do better. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/15/25 Full Review Daniel N Not the best Arnie movie but not the worst either. Is entertaining first time round but dull the second time through once you know the plot. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/23/25 Full Review Ariadne M I understand the frustration of losing cryptocurrency. Lose it to individuals you have given your time, trust, and personal information to. It's certainly a tough situation to be in. I have lost hundreds of thousands of USD, and I fear what these impostors would do with my details. It was months of fear and trauma for me before coming in contact with CyberGenie HackPro. Their success rate is impressive, and they have helped numerous individuals and businesses retrieve their funds via various means lost to scammers running from BEC Fraud and pig butchering fraud. Remember, it's essential to choose a legitimate company with a proven track record and positive reviews, CyberGenie HackPro is the DEAL. Boy am I glad I didn’t read reviews like I usually do. I don’t understand why this has such a low rating. Yes, it’s dark, violent and gritty. It’s an r18 after all. Arnie was a dark character, so there wasn’t the humour we were used to. I liked the cop and her partner, they definitely lightened things up and we’re likeable characters. I liked it, and thought it was a great movie. Definitely worth a watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/03/24 Full Review Read all reviews
