Steve Greene indieWire The film that exists may fill in some temporary vacuum in a season without capacity-level crowds on Saturday nights and evenings. But those who want something more may have to wait a little longer. Rated: C Dec 12, 2020 Full Review Robert Daniels Pay or Wait Even with its clear weaknesses, Safety is an uplifting film about the unbreakable bonds in communities and teams, and between brothers. Dec 11, 2020 Full Review Brian Lowry CNN.com This fact-based Disney+ movie presents a story that's stirring enough to predictably eke across the goal line as an old-fashioned crowd-pleaser, even if it's playing on a venue without crowds. Dec 11, 2020 Full Review M.N. Miller Ready Steady Cut Safety is a sports biography film with an uplifting message of putting family first and the goodness of people, but surrounds its protagonist with characters as well-rounded as Fathead. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 9, 2022 Full Review Pamela Powell Daily Journal (Kankakee, IL) Much of this might appear on the surface as being contrived, but it feels nothing but sincere as it connects us to not only Ray Ray and Fahmarr but every coach and athlete we meet. Ben B I am not sure how they bombed a great story this badly. The screenplay and editing made me think I needed to restart my prescription for ADHD medicine as there was no moment to spare while shifting cameras so frequently to present a screenplay that was clearly written under duress. I have no idea how Disney even keeps this on their platform and/or am curious as to how Rotten Tomatoes has scored this better than some of the true cinematic tragedies such as Hot Tub Time Machine 2. I hope some producer one day can purchase the negative and turn this into an actually acceptable film. I apologize if you watched this before reading this review, I am doing my best to erase this from my memory as well. My heart goes out to Ray Ray for what is an incredible story of overcoming almost insurmountable hardships, as this is a retched reminder to all of us that Hollywood can still drop bombs bigger than what can be told. I will never get this time back, but it is nice to hear that PG&E has started construction this evening outside. I only wish they could have started using a jackhammer earlier on so I could have given up on movie night. They did have an excellent soundtrack which I presume is where all the screenwriters & editors’ funds went. Regards. I've had a great experience with them, they're trustworthy and deliver on their promises. go to lost recovery masters to know more Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/06/24 Full Review Dale R A Disney+ release based on a true story of Ray McElrathbey, a college football player for Clemson University that takes care of his younger brother while going to college. For the most part the story flows well. There is a time where Ray must hide his brother on campus. That was a little silly, but the rest of the film is well done. Acting wise, everyone did a fine job, but no real standouts. I think this movie is worth your time.
