Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times The Salome film proves a chilling and watchable look at lust, power, reprisal and decadence that, along with Wilde Salome, validates [Al] Pacino's obsessive interest in Wilde's still-resonant play Apr 4, 2018 Full Review Jordan Mintzer Hollywood Reporter Intriguing as a work of interpretive risk-taking but captivating for its title performance. Mar 30, 2018 Full Review Dan Mecca The Film Stage As a companion to the documentary, it is the fascinating result of what [Al] Pacino himself seems to consider a creative failure. Rated: B- Apr 4, 2018 Full Review Budd Wilkins Film Journal International Al Pacino's film adaptation of Oscar Wilde's Salomé benefits considerably from uniformly strong performances and some consummate technical craftsmanship. Mar 29, 2018 Full Review Chloe Walker Film Inquiry Wilde Salom only offers a very basic look into Wilde's life, and the staging of Salom is distinctly uninspired. The combination of Pacino and Chastain, however, results in plenty to enjoy, however flawed the project may be. Mar 29, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

X O A very interesting production. Nice to see it be so simple. Is it following the dialogue of the play literally? It's so good! Nice to see AP not scream [so much] for a role he usually plays. And they he directs is very impressive. Beautifully done. Kevin Anderson digs deep in his role. Totally commands it. He's the star to me. Just no limit to how he plays John the Baptist. He has total confidence in what he does. But, Jessica Chastain's dance is really good for someone who is not a professional dancer. Salomé holds her own, too, being the ultimate destructive opposition to John the Baptist. Intense! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/01/23 Full Review steve d I found it stiltedly staged and unconvincing despite the great cast.
