Roxanne Hart
Pretty yet sturdy stage-trained character player of stage and screen who convinces playing salt-of-the-earth ethnic mothers and caregivers. Hart made her Broadway debut in "Equus" and garnered a 1983 Tony nomination for her supporting role in Peter Nichols's "Passion." She debuted on TV in the historical TV-movie "Kent State" (NBC, 1981) and followed up with roles in a wide variety of telefilms and several dramas broadcast as part of PBS's "American Playhouse" including "The Little Sister," "Painting Churches" (both 1986) and "Big Time" (1989).
