Paul Attanasio Washington Post ... there's all too little of Burns here, and what's left is a stagnant update of the Faust legend... Jan 4, 2018 Full Review Variety Staff Variety Unhappily, the story didn't need to get this involved and it winds up constantly trying to pull the picture apart, working against the comedy. Mar 26, 2009 Full Review Janet Maslin New York Times The material is extremely slight, but at least it's benign. Rated: 3/5 May 20, 2003 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy It takes a cute idea -- George Burns plays both God and Satan -- and then surrounds it with a bad movie. Rated: 1.5/4 Sep 17, 2021 Full Review TV Guide It's a hoary story, but Burns lends a new twist with his slick portrayal. Audience Member Best of the Oh God series, the only one I can watch again and again. A heartwarming story and well acted!! Love it!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review Mike T It’s intended to be a comedy but I feel not laughing, most times are just boredom. Aside from Devil and God played by the same actor, there is nothing else original. People sell their souls for earthly success are too old a story. The plot is blend, so is the acting. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/23/24 Full Review Audience Member It's at least better than the second one, but not quite as entertaining as the original. Adding the devil was a nice mix up to the formula, but it doesn't feel like they milked it for what it was worth. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/11/22 Full Review Audience Member George Burns is a pretty cool cat to play God and the Devil, and it's fitting since he wanted to be "18 Again", so we know he's a deity who loves riding the wheel of dharma over and over and over again. My atheist Dad would get bent out of shape when he saw me watching these films as a kid, because any mention of God sends his formerly-Catholic butt into explosive anti-religious diarrhea. This is possibly why I love saying God God God Goddess Goddess Goddess Shiva Brahma Vishnu Krishna Kali Saraswati God Goddess God Buddha Goddess God around him. If you have a social media account with followers, aren't you wanting to be a God/Goddess yourself? Why would you ape on religious people as harmful when you beckon people to worship you at a glowing altar of blue light? This is something my Dad is certainly blind to, because it's normal to let an android be a moral timekeeper versus internalized spiritual myths which are meaningful to the Self even if they can't be explained to Other, amiright? Listen, "Loki" is getting into all this, I'm just attaching it to George Burns and lobbing a glorious tomato at it... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Sequel to the hit comedy series, this time George Burns plays both God and the Devil who are both fighting for the soul of a musician. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member better than part 2 not better than the first in this franchise Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
