Both Marc Maron and Owen Wilson are wearing their characters as loosely as an actor can, to the point where they might as well have had their scripts in their hands in all their scenes. Fred N @fneylan Feb 16 The plot is nothing too surprising, but an engaging group of actors who are well-cast. Obviously aimed at a younger demo than a typical golf movie, the kid looks like Timothee Chalamet and he and his girlfriend actually act like teenagers. A lot of fun moments and Marc Maron, Judy Greer, and Timothy Olyphant add a lot. Cameos by real golfers and announcers help make the golf scenes seem realistic. See more N M @Mills3233 Feb 13 Nope. Very realistic about what the game of golf is to certain people. The characters seem to be fairly well developed over a short amount of time. The “woke” thing with the girlfriend actually ends up being….not terrible for those that have an issue with dumba$$ millennial type mentalities who’ve gone to college and were indoctrinated…lol jk(sort of)…over all one of the better shows I’ve watched as of late. Not a fan of Peter Dager's performance as Santi but Owen Wilson REALLY steals the show here. He was HILARIOUS! Funny thing is, I don't think he said, "wow" once in this show. Regardless, I really enjoyed the golfing adventure his character had with Mitts, Santi, Zero, and Elena. They all had pretty good arcs. Definitely worth a watch.
