I get that it's a comedy, and I get that people make bad choices in comedy. But there is no accountability here. There are no consequences. It becomes-- and I don't think it's doing this intentionally-- it becomes kind of a satire of privilege.

Steve Carrell charm is real idk if i'd enjoy the show as much as i do without him. Very sweet comedy. I hate the portrayal of affair tho. Who would welcome a married older man getting pregnant your young phd student daughter? No one other than the girl's roommate seemed to vocal about her making one huge mistake after another.

This series is a slow build. So much of the drama is understated and the comedy is low key. It’s not laugh out loud funny, more of an amused chuckle. I just watched episode 8 and it’s the best so far. The ensemble is clicking. Can’t wait for the next episode.

What am I missing here? This show sucks. The writing is below average at best and the episodes are just pure fluff. I absolutely love Steve Carell, but this is so inferior to his previous show.
