The show creates a new mystery, a literal, mystery box. It's difficult to care about that mystery because Sterling K. Brown's character doesn't care. Brown's character of Xavier has been absent for large swaths of this season. Go to Full Review

Nicholas S. @nnschaefer 6d Sterling Brown embarks on the seemingly impossible journey to find his lost wife. Along the way, Brown meets many members of the outside world who managed to survive the apocalypse and live a hardly recognizable life of resource scarcity and isolation. After being injured in a plane crash, Brown is nursed to health by Annie, a former-Elvis Presley tour guide who is pregnant from scientific-wiz Dylan’s visit en route to the Colorado bunker. Too complicated to follow? Absolutely! Worth watching anyways? Yes. Believability be damned, Paradise is packed with unexpected — and often underexplained — zigs, yet is still sufficiently captivating to bring you back to the next episode. This is also a must-watch for anyone who believes in the myriad of conspiracy theories about artificial intelligence and/or the Denver Airport. Then just about the time some real boredom began to creep in at the end of episode 3, they did it again. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sophomore season of a show so deftly make you think they’ve totally abandoned the originality of a first season, set up what seems like a completely separate storyline, and then slam you into the back of your seat to remind you that you’re on the same roller coaster you’ve been on all along. And Soundwall’s genius reimagined mix captures the moment perfectly. And if that didn’t grab you, wait until you think your coaster ride is coming to an end in episode 7. See more George W @georgeblaise Apr 10 Paradise is an excellent show but it's obvious the Graceland scenes were not shot in Tennessee but in California. This bring to mind the beginning of the Andy Griffith show. In the back ground are trees that only grow out west, not in North Carolina. See more Michael M. @SpideyJ Apr 9 Even better than Season 1. Great show! See more Chris O @Xtian5 Apr 7 Don't get the hype. I wasn't crazy about the first season but I started watching the 2nd just for something to do. 3 episodes in and still painfully dull. There's a lot of these post apocalyptic shows out that did the same thing better. See more Jeff B @JeffB73 Apr 6 This has to be one of the most thought provoking tv shows in recent years. Season 2 has surpassed season 1 and I’m sure season 3 will be even better. I really can’t find anything negative about it. Set aside some time, because you won’t hi be able to switch it off. A must see. See more Read all reviews
