What to Know

Critics Consensus

Featuring one of Robin Williams' most shtick-heavy performances, the broad and formulaic License to Wed wrings little out of its slightly creepy, unappealing premise.

Christy Lemire Associated Press It's exactly what it looks like from the commercials -- a one-joke movie, and that one joke isn't even funny to begin with. Jun 7, 2013 Full Review Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard The worst film I've seen so far this year. Rated: 1/5 Aug 10, 2007 Full Review Anthony Quinn Independent (UK) Robin Williams is back in this horrifically embarrassing and misconceived wedding comedy. Rated: 1/5 Aug 10, 2007 Full Review Micheal Compton Bowling Green Daily News For the most part the jokes fall flat and the result is rather bland. Nov 21, 2019 Full Review Jamie Russell Radio Times The dull romance between Sadie and Ben is revealed as little more than a prop for the comedian's patented schtick. Rated: 2/5 Jul 18, 2014 Full Review Ali Gray TheShiznit.co.uk I would honestly rather watch the Holocaust In Colour than sit through this again. Rated: 1/5 Nov 3, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews

Paul S Bruv, me didnt watch this, but it has robin williams innit : ) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/15/23 Full Review Ella W This movie made me so indescribably, unfathomably mad. Every single character was absolutely insufferable. Moore's character is so self righteous. Williams' character is irredeemable. I understand the concept of making the characters fight and then fall back together, but it is done so awfully. I have never given a single review before on any movie or book, but this one pissed me off SO BAD that I had to, honestly. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/18/23 Full Review 1 Funny in parts, and also very funny a few times. Typical, light, and a pleasant matinee. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I only finished watching the movie because I miss Robin Williams. It's a cute, creepy movie I will forget tomorrow. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Otvio F It is one of the best cliché comedies i have ever seen, it offers good entertainment and fun moments. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/21/20 Full Review Audience Member Super bad movie. Make no sense Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
