My friend’s daughter got sandlot 1 and 2 for her birthday but had only watched the first one. We spent about an hour reading reviews of the sandlot 2, trying to decide whether or not to watch it. So many reviews were quite harsh!!! Perhaps the most scathing review referred to the movie as “absolute shit!” We were horrified and decided to watch the movie anyway! After having seen it, we both confidently disagree with the many critical reviews! It was great! The characters were likable, the story was fun, and this one had some strong female characters too! The fact that it wasn’t ONLY about baseball made it even more interesting! Was it similar to the first sandlot? Sure! Were we bothered by this? Not at all! We laughed throughout the movie and thoroughly enjoyed it. Don’t let the negative reviews deter you- this movie is better than the ratings suggest!

This movie is bad, I just watched the original sandlot yesterday for the first time and I enjoyed every minute, It made my eyes shed tears when I saw the photo of the friends and the movie ended right away remembering when I had friends. Now I jumped straight to Sandlot 2 expecting a sequel, all I see is a remake, a bad one, looks bad and it sucks, the first sign this movie is bad is when the father of the girl say something silly to the girl and the mom responds him like he is machist. Ffs now I see this bs started all over 2005

I thought Sandlot2 was a Great Summer Movie Classic. A group of Neighborhood kids getting together to play baseball for fun and good times (I never played baseball Every day personally), but this movie brings back a certain degree of nostalgia.
