Kiko Martinez San Antonio Current Sanitarium strains to find the right sinister storytelling devices and allow each theme to make a real statement. Audience Member This was actually a great movie. You ask yourself during the movie did this really happen or are the people just nuts. Cause I felt bad for these crazy people. Like in the second story was the nerdy little kid capable of doing such horrible things or did he really do that stuff. You have to watch that movie and decide. I thought it was a great movie Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member If ever there was a movie I wished I could have watched at twice the speed (if at all), it was this one. Ponderously slow with predictable stories and plot twists that feel more like dead ends, I come away mystified that the likes of Malcolm McDowell, Robert Englund and Lou Diamond Philips even considered this script. Please do yourself a favor: If you want to host an MST3K style party, skip this one. If however you feel you should repent for some grave misdeed, by all means, subject yourself to this massive dump. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Considering the movie features performances by actors such as Malcom McDowell and Lou Diamond Phillips, it's painfully average. The setting was interesting, but underutilized considering the potential. The shorts were okay, but felt they could been underdeveloped episodes of 90s horror television series rather than a theatrical production. As well as they all feature unoriginal themes such as puppets, a boy and his monster, and alien conspiracy. Effects are also sparse despite decent film quality. Could have been a lot better. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member I absolutely love this movie. It's touching and interesting all at once and will always be a favorite of mine. I definitely recommend it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review farah r The first two stories were better than the last one. The third story was just terrible. The over all concept of the movie is interesting and could have been so much better had the stories been connected in some mysterious way to make it all seem more coherent. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Please don't start watching this movie with the idea of seeing a horror movie, it really isn't. It's not about being scared, but about unraveling the misteries of how the patients see the world and speculating about the few unsolved gaps.
