Sarah Cooper: Everything's Fine

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Sarah Cooper's comedic charisma is as charming on screen as it was on social media, but a lack of thematic cohesion and an uneven ratio of successful skits make her first special merely Fine.

Everything's Fine is painfully aware, at every moment, that things are terribly, terribly bad. Beyond frantically running in circles and landing on a Twin Peaks reference, though, I'm not sure what it's trying to do. Go to Full Review

It's a fever dream, then, of this tumultuous American moment, a vortex of murder hornets, racist cupcakes and gassed protestors into which Cooper and her vacuous bulletin finally collapse. Go to Full Review

Everything's Fine is yet more proof of the challenge of satirizing our chaotic world, and why traditional forms keep coming up short... Go to Full Review

I get that Cooper and friends are trying to mirror the feeling of doom-scrolling, but the result is more like an SNL cold open gone rogue. Go to Full Review

Watch it for Rudolph, Mirren and a clever parody of a Jordan Peele movie set at Mar-a-Lago. In a rushed, underwhelming special, those are the only things that are fine. Go to Full Review

Everything's Fine is difficult to describe. I don't think anybody who presses play will be able to predict all its bizarre twists and turns. Go to Full Review

07/14/2022 Really really bad. Went trough the efforth to create this account just to warn others, that's how bad it is. I don't know who Sarah Cooper is, but the summary said "Trump Mimer"? and i expected to see some ok talent. But just cringe.... Her weird fake smile is just so smuck.. Gave it 2min at most. And my range of humour is wide, exluding that show Sinefield See more tony h 02/26/2022 Keep in mind the temporal context of this film, and it's even funnier now! Superbly put together, there is a strong message here which we had better remember in the future, if we have one. See more 12/14/2020 I would almost say I get what they were trying to do... but I think "trying" is an overstatement for this mess. See more 11/21/2020 Love Sarah Cooper, but her special makes no sense at all. See more 11/19/2020 This is hands down one of the worst things I've ever seen. Sarah Cooper makes Hannah Gadsby look like Richard Pryor and George Carlin combined. See more 11/16/2020 It seams like someone wanted to give Sarah Cooper a chance to showcase her Trump lip-syncing, and then it goes on for twenty more minutes. The problem is there's no new material for her to lip-sync. Still, she comes off as likeable, so maybe we'll see more of her in the future if someone can figure out what to cast her in.
