      Audience Member It's fairly banal but the performances are in the right spirit. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Deadly Manor is a prime example of why audiences began tiring of slashers in the first place. It seems modern fans are now attracted to the earnest, almost innocent quality of those films produced during their 1978-1984 heyday, so when those classic teen victims in their feathered hair and short shorts gave way to baggier clothes, breast implants, and an emerging digital age awash in political correctness, much of the bloom fell off the rose. And without any creative kills or inventive formulaic twists going for them, movies like Deadly Manor quickly felt like nostalgia tours.
