Josh A This might be because it's been 3 weeks since I last watched a Saw movie (I always write my reviews after I watch the movies, but for Saw I'm posting them all together, I watched the third film 3 weeks ago and I am starved for Saw), but I loved this. I just really liked the entertainment value of it and enjoyed the fact that this is set during Saw III, mainly as I love interquels. After watching this film, I questioned if there could ever be a bad Saw movie. And at this point in my journey, I don't think so. I will be quoting that if I ever encounter a bad Saw movie, by the way. I liked the atmosphere - it felt so different yet so similar to the other movies, as if this was the start of a new chapter - and I liked the characters. Especially Art Blank and Hoffman. I can't wait to see more Hoffman. My favourite trap in this movie was the bedroom trap. It was tense and it felt deserved. Ivan just kinda deserved it. Also it's got that brutal nature to it that I love seeing in the traps. The Scalping Seat is a close second though. Overall, amazing movie and another banger from the Saw franchise. Next up, Saw V! Can't wait to see how the story develops. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/03/25 Full Review Rowan C These movies are so entertaining to watch, and I am just excited for the future movies. This movie was the ultimate test for Officer Riggs and he ended up failing. Jhon Kramer is dead and he had one last message, saying that the games have just begun. The whole movie is trying to figure out who the other accomplice is and what new games have begun. Officer Riggs is obsessed with solving this case and getting his life back on track. We had a deeper lore explained, showing how Jhon Kramer started his journey as Jigsaw. His wifes' baby was killed and that just sent him off the edge. He set up the first trap for the man that killed his wifes' baby and took his life away. Rigg was put through a series of tests and he ended up following the rules for most of them, and he was never supposed to walk through that door. The whole time, Hoffman was the new Jigsaw and he knew that Rigg would fail. The whole test was stating that Rigg had time on his side and all he had to do was wait it out. He jumped into the room at the last second and that caused Eric to get killed with two ice blocks smashing against his head. If he waited for the timer to go off, everybody would have lived. Rigg had an obsession with helping people and he just couldn't help himself. The main detective on this case, was Agent Perez and agent Strahm. Perez was taken out early with shard of glass, and I do not know if she ever made it out alive. Saw 4 was happening at the same time as Saw 3 was and Strahm ended up finding Jeff at the end of the movie. Jeff yells at Strahm asking where his daughter is agressively and Strahm ends up taking his life. Hoffman outplayed all of them, and he locked Strahm in the room at the end of the movie. Rigg was left by Hoffman to bleed out on the floor and before that, Rigg shot Art the lawyer which resulted in Art dropping a tape. This tape was Jigsaw telling RIgg that he failed the test and if he would've waited the time out, everybody would have survived. At the end of the movie, Hoffman walks out alive with his whole plan being successfull and it ends with him walking out of the room. Overall, this wasn't as good as the other movies but these movies are still super fun to watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/16/24 Full Review Oaklee D Pure B movie schlock.
