However, after a classic case of mistaken identity, they find themselves having murdered the wrong man. Now stuck in the town during Ilkley's busiest weekend, they wait for the arrival of a foreboding mentor to give them instruction. The mission must still be completed -- that's providing Vic's rage, Tim's doubts or the efforts of foul-mouthed Detective Inspector Brough don't get in the way first. Annie W Overall a funny yet slowpaced story, with compelling perfomances and a nice choir. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/04/23 Full Review Edward J I just about kept my eyes open for it. Not particularly well written. I would not recommend to a friend. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/05/23 Full Review Audience Member One knows doesn't one, from the very first frame, when a really top notch, unique offering of a cinematic experience is about to happen? And surprise, surprise when, as it unfolds, not a single one of the formulaic mush crutches that hollywood so heavily relies on raises its ugly decayed head. "Dry Your Tears" is one such gem and my admiration of the tallest, skinniest of the two leads is bordering on idolitry while the other of the pair easily slid right into my heart and affections. Everyone involved here is gifted from the makers of the film to the actors. I just wish there was more of this sort of thing happening in the world of film. Amy Nicholson FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It starts off a little slow and then gets gripping in the second half... In the end, it really congeals. Apr 6, 2021 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Has enough entertainingly startling moments to mark its filmmaker as capable of bigger and better things. Apr 1, 2021 Full Review Mike McCahill Guardian Simmons and Michell, blessed with good ideas and the craft to do them justice, are building a notable filmography on the margins: let's hope the industry's moneymen are watching. Rated: 3/5 Sep 23, 2020 Full Review Amanda Mazzillo Film Inquiry Say Your Prayers is a thoughtful and humorous exploration of morality, religion, and the strength-good or bad-of individual people filled with memorable performances especially from Harry Melling and Tom Brooke as the central brothers. Apr 10, 2021 Full Review Tom Cassidy Common Sense Media More accurate and far sharper than its two hit men brothers, this impressive satire hits every mark it aims for. Rated: 4/5 Apr 6, 2021 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall With a bone-dry sense of humour, this crime comedy maintains focus on two young protagonists whose tough past has left them damaged.
