Augustine J It's a good film. The shots of the Vatican are impressive. A well told story of an extraordinary man doing a rather extraordinary thing. It might be a little long, but that's all the more time to enjoy Ennio Morricone's good score. Gregory Peck gives a good performance despite this being a TV movie. I thought this movie was a good one. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review Jim J Hollywood blows Smoke up your Date. Of course we are all well aware of the Total lie this movie tries to Portray. The Catholic church hid Nazi money and Art and was in no way involved in protecting anyone. This is Catholic propaganda at its worst. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/23 Full Review Link If you like Gregory Peck then you'll love this in-depth World War II yarn! Lot's of familiar actors doing a good job. Nice movie sets. Inspiring plot which gets better as it goes with a terrific ending! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member VERY GOOD movie, "The Scarlet and the Black"(1983), that I FIRST saw this movie on my TV at 7:52am(CT) Monday April 06, 2020! (I wrote my comments here at 5:14pm(CT) Saturday April 11, 2020.) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Simply, a wonderful movie. Great story and great storytelling. Gregory Peck's accent can be a bit much sometimes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member what started out as an afternoon filler film ended up becoming fairly reasonable. still meh, but could be worse.
