cinephile f I am a total fashion person but this honestly was a fluff piece and totally disappointing. It really did not go deep enough into any of the subject matter and felt like an infomercial for the store. Yawn! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Very intriguing, captivating way to profile the store that inspires so many. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member A loving picture of this luxury retailer!!!! A peek in to the world of what shopping should be and always is in this iconic store!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Not so much a movie as a long commercial. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Rich people talking about rich people... wasted 15 minutes of my life until I existed. Will waste another 5 minutes (worth it) doing this review. $3000 for a pair of shoes of everyone involved in making and selling the show can drive their expensive cars, go to their expensive vacations and buy their expensive homes. Brainwashing 101. Don't waste your hard earned money on this BS. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyable but flawed documentary. Michael Sragow Orange County Register No, it's not hard-hitting journalism about retail fashion or conspicuous consumption. It's more like a graceful authorized biography of an institution. Rated: B+ Mar 3, 2014 Full Review Steve Rose Guardian Even people who find fashion really, really interesting will be bludgeoned brain-dead by this fawning, attention-deficit infomercial of a documentary. Rated: 1/5 Dec 5, 2013 Full Review Cath Clarke Time Out There's probably a brilliant documentary to be made at New York department store Bergdorf Goodman. No such luck Rated: 2/5 Dec 2, 2013 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins No single aspect is examined with any meaningful depth. Rated: 3/10 Dec 4, 2020 Full Review Cleaver Patterson CineVue Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's will bare little semblance to reality for most people. However, as a window into a world which few of us will enter, it makes an entertaining diversion from the everyday norm.
