‘Schlock’ is a terrific spoof of b-horror/sci-fi that pays homage to everything from ‘Frankenstein’ to ‘The Blob’ and more. It’s a great debut from John Landis that really shows his love of classic creature features.

This is a rediculously movie; very cheaply made, but it's still a charming effort. There's some pretty goofy effects that are attempting to show the guy in the Gorilla costume has extra strength. I think if you can get past that you'll notice there are some pretty well timed sight gags; in the style of National Lampoon films. A serviceable slapstick film
