Audience Member Fresh off a three season stint as The Bionic Woman, Lindsay Wagner accepted the offer to play the lead character in the made for TV mini-series adaptation of Judith Krantz's 'Scruples' - Wagner, having left The Bionic Woman while still a popular venue that had garnished her an Emmy, remained in popular demand for dramatic TV venues. An extensive supporting cast of television veterans and lavish sets and locations did little however to garner more then a curiosity glance from Krantz's fans who were served up a watered down version of her novel. Per Wagner's insistence, the script focused primarily on the growth of the lead character as an individual, minimizing the rampant sex and tumultuous character interactions that had put the novel on the New York Times best seller list. It should be noted that this was the acting debut for Kim Cattrall, and the final film performance of silver screen legend Gene Tierney.
