One thing you have to admit is that the film is paced nicely for the experience of two people trapped in a tunnel; it’s both somehow agonisingly underwritten and, with the antic camera and incessant score, strangely overblown. Go to Full Review

While Scurry has its moments, it largely plays out more like a full-length moviemaking experiment than an actual full-length movie. Go to Full Review

Scurry suggests that Luke Sparke’s career is still a work-in-progress... when he can marry a really great script to his already extraordinary visual sensibilities, he’s likely to finally be recognised as an exciting and dynamic talent in genre filmmaking. Go to Full Review

3.5/5
A nightmare in real time, Scurry is a one-take descent into claustrophobic terror. It drags you underground and never lets you come up for air. Tense, visceral, and suffocatingly immersive, it’s an imperfect but nerve-flaying ride. Go to Full Review

Fans willing to overlook a few things for the sake of a new film in their genre of choice will find enough here to entertain them, even if it’s unlikely to convert new viewers to the joys of subterranean sci-fi all by itself. Go to Full Review
Alan Ng Film Threat Oct 4

Director Luke Sparke drew inspiration from classic creature features, aiming to capture the primal fear of being trapped and hunted in an unforgiving environment. Go to Full Review

Mia M Nov 6 Sorry, but this is terrible! The woman's incessant hyperventilation drove me nuts. She was forever telling the man to be quiet yet wouldn't shut up herself. How they didn't get killed or eaten in the first 10 minutes is a mystery. All I can say is that the 'monster' must be deaf and blind! I very quickly wanted to turn it off but was intrigued to see how it ended. You know the saying, curiosity kid the cat, I just had to watch the whole thing and wish I hadn't. I can watch just about anything and find the good as well as the bad, but this is a very bad B movie at best that has left me feeling like I have just wasted an hour and 40 minutes of my life! See more Ava P Oct 21 So bad I had to fast forward the talking bits because I couldn’t stand the characters - two very unlikeable people played by actors who cannot act very well trapped underground after a giant alien bug attack. They’re so noisy with their heavy breathing, coughing and moaning that they would have realistically been skewered and eaten within the first 5 minutes. Bad CGI adds to this poor attempt of a horror/sci-fi movie. The bugs themselves were hardly seen and I was wishing for the main characters deaths halfway in. I was hopeful at one point one of them had been killed but alas he crawled back. 90 minutes of my life I can’t get back. See more Alan J @AlanJo696 Oct 18 Deception premise but spent most of the film irritated by the female lead continually panting like she has just running a 500m sprint for no apparent reason. See more Private I Oct 9 Lots of completely dark scenes where 90% of the sounds are panting, grunting, and yelling. It’s yet another creature feature that can’t afford to show the creature. If you’re only going to have two actors some chemistry would be appreciated.
