Audience Member As a writer I can tell you that this was not so cleverly written. You knew right away that the person that came to the hospital during her surgery did it. Nice try but after figuring that out within the first 10 minutes I was skipping ahead to get to the good part which was average. Perhaps before the rest stop incident happened should have showed "Russell" and Jennifer Allen interacting casually. Then the whole truck stop scene and just went from there. Then it would have been more believable. Also remove the part where a mysterious man randomly asks about Jennifer's recovery. Just let the cat out of the bag even more sooner rather than later.
