Test T I watched this on DVD. It's a western, but it opens set in a cold and snowy woodland, which makes it feel very bleak at first. I wasn't convinced by Pierce Brosnan, but I though Liam Neeson's performance was effective. The story is interesting, and there is plenty of intense and often brutal action along the way. The pace is unhurriedly steady, which can give rise to lapses in concentration, especially in scenes with sparse dislogue. I also thought the film needed better lighting at times, particularly when the characters were speaking to camera with their faces in shadow. The scenary is magnificent, and by far the best feature of the movie. There are several supporting characters which the duo meet during the chase which I enjoyed, although they are mostly one dimensional and short lived. Over all, I would recommend the film, but with the ingredients it had to work with it could have been much better than it is. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/18/24 Full Review Terry H I really liked the cinematography and production quality. Old western feel to it. Pierce Brosnan was outstanding. Not used to seeing him in those type roles and almost didn't recognize him at the start. The movie picks up in the middle of a story line and slowly reveals the back story as it plays out. Was intrigued and invested to see how it played out. Really liked this one until the last 15 minutes where the plot introduces an absurd turn of events and really knocked the rating down. Still was worth the watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/16/24 Full Review AlphaSnail N Insanely badass western, don’t watch unless you are a fan of slow, tense scenes and morally debauched characters Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/05/24 Full Review Mark B A boring Moby Dick in the west. Looks good, good acting, lots of symbolism but ultimately you do not case. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/24 Full Review Barry J This movie had so much potential. But in the end. It was just ok. A big waste of a lot of talent. Don't get me wrong. It passed the time. Just no big moments. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/03/24 Full Review Greg L Great visuals, lovely performances, insane script. It starts well, but by the end, nobody is acting like a real human being. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/02/24 Full Review Read all reviews
