N C I agree with the last review. Felt like I was watching a homemade movie so really confused how anyone rated this highly. The only thing I liked was the story of Ruth being randomly thrown in! It's potentially a good story and does include earnest performances with a nice range of characters. However, there are many elements that are amateurish and painful to watch. For example, the sets are not believable and the script is often awkward. I feel duped by the other 5 star reviews and, after paying $4.99 to rent it, feel the duty to warn others to not spend any money or time watching. The title itself, Serial Beauty, is intriguing and the movie does not disappoint. There are many twists and turns in this story about police detectives as they hunt down a very mysterious serial killer who seems to be targeting beautiful female victims specifically. All the actors did a solid job, especially Alexandra Grossi, I thought she was great. This film is well written and well directed. I especially liked all the fantastic Los Angeles locations. Sigal Erez is a talented filmmaker. If you're looking for a great suspense movie, give this movie a watch.
