Steve Greene indieWire As an unapologetically messy collection of creations from some of the funniest people in the business, you could do worse than spending an hour watching a handful of comic ids run wild. Rated: B Dec 26, 2018 Full Review Sean L. McCarthy Decider As for the comedy itself, the self-aware sketches hit more frequently than the stand-up performances, precisely because of their awareness. Dec 26, 2018 Full Review Garrett Martin Paste Magazine That variety show structure is the event's greatest asset. If one act doesn't work for you, it'll only be a few minutes before another stand-up takes the stage, or before Rogen introduces another pretaped segment. Rated: 8/10 Dec 26, 2018 Full Review Audra Schroeder The Daily Dot It's less clear where Hilarity for Charity fits in; it's not quite a talk show, not just a standup special, but has potential as a variety show. Audience Member this guy isn't funny. one of the worst modern comedians. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Seth Rogan is terrible. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member The Sacha Baron Cohen skit at 27 minutes is crude but hysterical Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I was excited to see Seth Rogen comedy special he is one of my favorite comedians. Awful! Jokes horrible. So disappointing. My father had Alzheimer's and I'm thrilled he's raising money for a wonderful cause. Terrible not funny. Dicks not funny. Dicks smoking weed not funny. Horrible singing with the Muppets. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member As is displayed here, stand up comedy has been on the decline for years. The best part was the speech by Seth and his wife. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The special was terrible, sarah silverman ( don't capitalize her name, she's a disgrace to it) is consistently bad. But, the worst part is...Seth Rogen paid himself out of the donations. The contract clearly states that the "profits" went to charity. This is what makes him the most despicable human, parading as though he is doing good work. He is using the charitable community to benefit himself. His star power is over, so is silvermans... these are just money grabs. ALWAYS always donate directly to the charities that you wish to support. And, stop supporting these juvenile adults with disgusting behavior, and contempt for their audience.
