Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (LAist) Very clever, but I've seen this story a few hundred times in my life. Jun 12, 2025 Full Review Sheila O'Malley RogerEbert.com “Sew Torn” isn’t a genre exercise, not really. It’s more of an off-kilter riff on the familiar. Rated: 3/4 May 9, 2025 Full Review Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting Macdonald nestles Run Lola Run’s loop-like structure inside a cozy crime thriller, the type that comes heavily armed with a sense of whimsy, if a bit subdued. Rated: 3/5 May 6, 2025 Full Review Karina Adelgaard Heaven of Horror ...turned out to be a real delight to watch. It’s difficult to explain exactly why this movie works so well, but it’s obviously the combination of the plot, its execution, and the actors bringing it all together. Rated: 3/5 Oct 31, 2025 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens Sew Torn is creative and original, visually vibrant and stimulating, whimsical and a bit quirky, and quite entertaining and fun, with everything perfectly threaded through the cinematic needle to create a fabulous tapestry. Rated: 4/5 Jul 16, 2025 Full Review MaryAnn Johanson Flick Filosopher The quirks of this slightly fantastical black-comedy crime thriller are many, varied, and messily disjointed. But there’s a delicious oddness to its unpredictability and its spin on familiar tropes. Rated: 3/5 Jun 20, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

prawnda s slow and derivative story. decent performances all around, but the lack of plausibility and lack of jokes about that lack of plausibility make it a bit strange for everything to be about sewing and strings and yarn. it doesnt matter how many pulleys you use, a single thread cannot drag the weight of a grown man across a floor. i don't think the movie is objectively bad, but it was deeply uninteresting to me. maybe try something like sweetpea instead if you want some accidental femme fatale vibes. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/16/25 Full Review Andrew L. Weird. Kind of a strange trap building savant with thread. Meh. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/15/25 Full Review Sam H Big yes to this movie. My wife doesn't watch horror, but at the end I realized this was not in that category, maybe a thriller/fantasy? The many ways she uses her skills as a seamstress to get out of a jam adds fantasy to the categories. Lead Eve Connolly has done other roles, but she definitely has James Bond girl potential- but then she probably wouldn't have been cast in this superb and original indie. Hmmm.... might watch again with the missus? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/08/25 Full Review Stoner J This was a good surprise with the perfect ending Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/02/25 Full Review Courtney K this was fun! i didn't know what this was before i started & was very pleasantly surprised; an interesting way to tell a story with an interesting main character. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/01/25 Full Review Logan D Struggling to maintain her business, a seamstress (Eve Connelly) comes across a botched drug deal. What happens afterwards depends on which thread she pulls. A very clever and interesting film that presents three stories based on the decisions the seamstress makes. It's whimsical and I'm skeptical how well she can construct a threaded trap but it's certainly not generic. Recommended Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/19/25 Full Review Read all reviews
