Barbara Duggen, 'The Mobile Seamstress', is struggling to keep her fabric shop alive. After a botched sewing appointment sets her on a quest to replace her client's lost button, she unexpectedly stumbles upon a drug deal gone bad. Faced with two downed motorcyclists, guns, and a briefcase -- Barbara is completely torn. She is forced to pick between three choices: commit the perfect crime, call the police, or drive away. The narrative presents the repercussions of all three decisions, and the deadly confrontations that result from each as she gets entangled with the case's owner. Using thread to free herself, Barbara stops at nothing to save her store.

Sew Torn is a really first rate film. I do not know how someone could think up a concept like this. I won't spoil, but that final diner scene was ridiculously good...one of the best scenes I have ever watched. My goodness. I'm very excited to see what this filmmaker does next. The other telltale sign of a great film like this one is it just sticks with you...I can't stop thinking about it.

SEW TORN is a fast-paced, thrilling, and darkly comedic film about a seamstress who stumbles upon a drug deal gone bad. Eyeing two downed bikers, packs of cocaine, and a brief case, the seamstress, named Barbara, is faced with three choices: she can commit the perfect crime, call the police, or drive away. The narrative uniquely explores each of these three possibilities, cleverly unfurling with suspense, humor, and practical ingenuity. Seen at the Alamo Drafthouse in New York City during opening weekend with my wife. Go watch! you won't want to miss it...

What a great movie from a fantastic new director. Reminds me of a cross between Terry Gilliam and the Coen brothers. Fantastic sets, great acting and a whimsical score. Must watch! Can’t wait to see more from Freddy MacDonald.
