Audience Member Instant watcher beware: the sound lags behind the picture for the entirety of the movie, and that's obnoxious. But anyway, while this doesn't have a lot of plot, and is super melodramatic, somehow it managed to interest my sappy, girly side. I doubt I could recommend it highly, or that I would want to watch it again, but if you're in the mood for something low-key without a whole lot of point, this is worth watching. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Well, the title itself piqued my interest and so I sought it out. Although I knew from searching that Robert Hayes was in it, the other stars I did not realize were in it too until I saw them in it, and that was surprising since some I've seen in other projects. Basically as the information says, the movie takes place in the 1970's and it revolves around a 16 year old girl that has parents that have been quite open with her as she grew up and answered all of her questions freely. And as in one scene, as her dad is a doctor, he would also talk about his work at the dinner table, which included things of a sexual nature, like talking about penises or other stuff. So when the main character of Alex gets older, she had a wider view of life than other people as her parents were more open to her than other parents were to their kids. So it is more or less a movie about Alex growing up and finding out what is important to her and all, and we get to see all of those trials and tribulations that she goes through. And as she is a ballerina, we get to see dancing too. And she seems to do it well also. I enjoyed it. So, if you get to see it sometime, I hope you can enjoy it too. Some may find the pace slow but just sit back and enjoy the ride. :) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member ?????????????????????????????????????
