Phelim O'Neill Guardian Just when you're settled into thinking you're watching another survival horror, there's a massive and quite bold change in direction and all bets are off. Rated: 3/5 Apr 28, 2011 Full Review Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard It is short, sharp and competently made but only narrowly avoids falling into the torture porn genre. Rated: 2/5 Apr 28, 2011 Full Review Anton Bitel Little White Lies presents one of the creepiest, most grotesque-looking antagonists seen since Max Schreck embodied Count Orlock in Nosferatu (1922). And if that does not whet the appetite, there is a scene of gratuitous toad-licking too... Dec 1, 2010 Full Review C.H. Newell Father Son Holy Gore A PTSD allegory concerned with exactly how torturous war becomes emotionally on those affected by it, as well as those who've participated in it. Rated: 4/5 May 1, 2019 Full Review David Parkinson Radio Times Zampaglione admirably maintains the mood of menace and makes his point about humanity's potential for evil without undue preachiness. Rated: 3/5 Apr 28, 2011 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall It cleverly weaves together nasty nightmares from both the Iraq occupation and World War II while constantly grossing us out. Although we never get very deeply involved. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 28, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

Alain M it is dubbed, think from Italian, and story is bland at best, and very very predictable cheap low budget horror movie Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Sure switches gears halfway through. It wasn't a smart or great horror, and there were plenty of tropes and cliches, but it wasn't bad. Plus it was short. It wasn't too flashy, simple is better in this case, so that was good. And I'm sure this was pretty low budget, which is also good considering. Cool ending. A bit nonsense if you think about it though. Also annoying soundtrack. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member It was decent until it went down the torture porn route. The sadist in it was a cross between Pluto from The Hills Have Eyes,Nosferatu and Buffalo Bill. The ending is a major cop out and is like something from a bad American soap. Nice touch with G.W Bush on the wall of Dictators. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Kept me hanging on the screen .....fine to follow , Pleasently horror SOMDVD Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member It's creepy, but the twist totally ruins it. Gorgeous setting in Italy near the borders with Austria and Slovenia. Saw it because of Testa (Frontiers). Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I really liked this film. Just when you think you have it figured out it completely pulls the rug from under your feet and changes direction. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
