Sarah Vincent Sarah G Vincent Views sign of a good movie: if it had more money, it would be better. “Shadow of God” has a solid, well thought out story that could have benefitted from having a bigger budget. It was a brilliant move to mix the quotidian nightmare of Waco with cosmic horror. Apr 14, 2025 Full Review Bee Delores B-Sides & Badlands Shadow of God is, frankly, an unfortunate blunder that will be forgotten in the blink of an eye Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 11, 2025 Full Review Mark Dujsik Mark Reviews Movies Shadow of God should be far more entertaining than it is, which is a slightly nicer way of saying that the movie is a complete dud. Rated: 1/4 Apr 11, 2025 Full Review Nathaniel Muir AIPT Mixing arthouse with psychedelia and just straight up gore, Shadow of God will keep anyone watching off kilter. This is also part of the problem. The film has too much going on. Some of it feels out of place, but it all makes for a fascinating watch. Apr 11, 2025 Full Review Nick Bythrow Screen Rant Despite having an interesting premise and intriguing lead characters, Shadow of God's creative take on exorcism gets lost in the latter half. Rated: 5/10 Apr 10, 2025 Full Review Pramit Chatterjee Digital Mafia Talkies Shadow of God is definitely worth a watch, especially because of the third act (...) I hope that this film is watched by a lot of people so that investors and producers get the encouragement they need to back artists like Michael Peterson. Jerod S The special effects killed this film. Demons and exorcisms need suspension of belief - but the bad CGI ruined that possibility. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/18/25 Full Review Christian K Shudder Exclusives and Originals need their own exorcism at this point. This is a bland, trauma bloated exorcism story with no discernable character or direction. At the very least, this does not waste its time moving through its scenes. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/17/25 Full Review B P An Unholy and Unexpected Religious Horror. ‘Shadow of God’ is a bit too ambitious for its own good. However, this fresh take on religious horror still warrants a watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/14/25 Full Review Nessa C This was the worst movie I have ever watched, the special effects where the worst ever I could do better. What the green screen was this. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/13/25 Full Review Cris L Im a fan of exorcism, possession and most religious/cult horror. This is great for me. One of the more entertaining horror movies I’ve seen this year. The premise is an amazing take on the classic genre that gets a little lost in the final act but, I enjoyed the hell out of it. I think it’s a great take on what the consequence of abandoning God as a society mean. Again, I’m biased. I like the subgenre a lot. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/13/25 Full Review Lee S Final act brought this down from 3 stars. Actor's were great. Story was all over the place. Just keep it simple and give us more lore and mystery. Final 5 seconds brought this to 0 if possible. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/13/25 Full Review Read all reviews
