Audience Member At first I was sure if this film was taking itself seriously. But the ending portion especially got me rather surprised. It is so funny and ridiculous. Its almost as if they had something but didnt know what it was. Terry O'Quinn must have filmed all his scenes in a day. I love when it is really that obvious. Evan Lurie is hilarious with a flame thrower and the cop who isnt a cyborg pulls off some ridiculous moves. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member It was ok but there was really bad acting Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Remember the golden era of action movies that The Expendables is trying to recreate? Well, in the mid-90s, someone else tried to do the same but without the budget, cast or public interest. Produced by Hulk Hogan (TVs favourite really really really old wrestler) and Eric Bischof (the man who bankrupted WCW and is currently doing the same to TNA), and directed by Jon "loads of shit action TV shows" Cassar, this film rattles through a variety of action movie cliches without being exciting or entertaining- yet I still watched it. Hulk Hogan plays a Navy SEAL who wants revenge on a drug baron for killing his friends (yep, that old rope). He takes his former army buddy Carl Weathers (who plays pretty much the same character as he did in predator) to Devil's Island to seek revenge and rescue a gymnastics team. Shannon Tweed provides some tits. Seriously. She starts as a Russian agent with a shit accent who walks around in her underwear. She then goes for a swim. Then she's in her clothes but you can see her erect nipples. She reveals herself to be an American undercover agent, which is makes you wonder why no one in the film went "Are you just an American? because that accent is shocking" Then she's back in her pants, and even when she goes into battle she is wearing what looks like a bra, then a wet suit, then tricks a guard by wandering down the steps of the prison in her pants. Some people might be wondering what I'm complaining about, but she does look like a 47 year old man with a convincing tuck job. The whole movie is topped off by a foreign baddie and the token "guy who could be Australian or could be English". Anyway, the whole thing follows the usual formula and ends with gun battles and badly choreographed fight scenes. Scenes are linked by the fade-to-black that they use on TV dramas and the whole thing looks like it was made for the Poundstretcher market. Awful cinema at its worst. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member well umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a pretty kewl movie 2 watch..imn just a hulk hogan fan which is why imn giving it 5 stars lol...its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie..i think that hulk hogan, carl weathers, shannon tweed, martin kove play good parts throughout this movie...i think that the director of this Action & Adventure, Television, Mystery & Suspense movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie..sure its a made for tv movie but its still kewl 2 watch Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I used to watch this so-bad-its-good Hulk Hogan action flick back when i was a kid, over and over with one of my friends. It was cool back then. Now it's just bad, but in a fun kind of way. Horrible acting? Check. Obviously-fake fight scenes? Check. overly-dramatic music? Check. Shannon Tweed nudity? Check. Corney and Cheesy? Check. Hell of a fun time? Check. I didn't like a couple of the side characters though. They were introduced in one scene, set up to be right bad ass...and then never seen again, such as that evil flight attendant. Also, the DVD majorly fucked up. The DVD's for these movies has this one as the second, and the second as the first, but it has the box art correct, and the movie descriptions on the back correct. Kinda fucked up. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Hahahahahahaha! What you see is what you get, sadly but true. Hahaha.
