When private investigator and man of action John Shaft (Richard Roundtree) is hired to disrupt a slavery ring, he must travel to Africa and infiltrate the criminal operation. While undercover, Shaft discovers that Africans are being abducted and sold as slaves in Europe, with a sinister figure named Amafi (Frank Finlay) pulling the strings. As Shaft gets closer to taking down Amafi, his situation becomes increasingly dangerous, with assassins and thugs seemingly lurking around every corner.

So far my favorite Shaft Movie. Shaft travels to Arica to stop illegal smuggling of Africans and their exploitations from an evil corporate man.

This is the one that tried to broaden Shaft's adventures and make him have more international adventures like Bond. And while the plot is sound and the movie is entertaining enough, that move loses the essence of what makes Shaft soo great.

In the third and last in the original Shaft (1971) series of action-packed "blaxploitation" pictures, private eye John Shaft (Richard Roundtree) travels to the "motherland," where he breaks up a modern slavery ring. (70%) The "Lawrence of Arabia" of soul cinema. A superbly entertaining final chapter to the biggest name in blaxploitation. The James Bond references are great fun and the quality of production is really quite good. A must watch for all fans of 70's action cinema.
