Wade G Jun 14 The overall feel of this movie is super-cheap, but competent. They almost certainly rented a small unoccupied suite in a low-rent office building for 100% of the sets. The lighting and camera work is fine. It looks like a nineties TV show that would be syndicated and ran on early Saturday afternoon. The one standout is the baboon. He's great. However, there's not enough of him. The worst thing about this is the pacing and lack of a story. I paused the movie when I thought I was in the final act, and saw I wasn't halfway through. The D&D inspired game is tedious. The story has no business running more than a 30 minute short, but its a whopping 101 minutes. See more David B 02/09/2024 It sucked, plain & simple, dullsville! It's a bit of a stretch, how much a baboon is able to take out a building full of people, but it still makes for a tense, claustrophobic thrill ride. Think about it, in this kind of situation, I know I'd rather be chased by an axe-wielding maniac, than this manic monkey. See more 04/06/2017 Okay, this is a film I'd been trying to track down for some time, and I have to say it was a helluva lot of fun once I got a legitimate copy. A group of kids playing a live action role playing game find themselves trapped in a building with a genetically altered baboon, who is hellbent on getting revenge for what was done to him. It's a good bit of low-budget fun, give it a rental. See more 11/13/2016 I saw someone else's review, and they called it "Shak-meh".... sums it up nicely. The only good acting came from the baboon.
